Ivy Sacknowitz, MD

Dr. Sacknowitz is an attending anesthesiologist and partner at Advanced Perioperative Medicine, P.A. and a member of the Executive Committee.

Previously, Dr. Sacknowitz was affiliated with PBI Regional Medical Center (Passaic, NJ) (formerly The General Hospital Center at Passaic) where she was a cardiothoracic attending anesthesiologist, the director of the Department of Anesthesia, and served on multiple committees, including the Quality Improvement Committee, Operating Room Committee, and Executive Committee of the hospital. She also held the position of clinical instructor of anesthesiology at both NYU Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital (New York, NY).

A graduate of the State University of New York at Binghamton (Binghamton, NY), Dr. Sacknowitz received her medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia (Richmond, Virginia). She completed an internship in categorical medicine at Hackensack University Medical Center (Hackensack, NJ) and a residency in anesthesiology at NYU Medical Center, Bellevue Hospital, Manhattan V.A. Hospital and the Hospital for Joint Diseases (New York, NY). She completed her fellowship in cardiothoracic anesthesiology at NYU Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital, as well as in advanced clinical anesthesia at the Hospital for Joint Diseases.

Dr. Sacknowitz is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.  She is licensed in New Jersey and New York.
